CHEMCOX AQ RP 5029 is a water-miscible, multipurpose corrosion preventive fluid formulated to provide reliable short- to medium-term protection for ferrous components. It forms a uniform, continuous protective invisible film after application, offering excellent corrosion resistance, stable solution characteristics even at high temperature, and easy removability with alkaline cleaners but in most cases it does not require cleaning, making it ideal for inter-process and storage protection.
Application
- Recommended for inter-process and storage protection of ferrous and phosphated metal components.
- Suitable for dip application using water-based solution to form a continuous, uniform corrosion protective film.
- Ideal for preserving semi-finished components, machined parts, tools, files and packed metal products during storage and transportation.
- Can be used as a corrosion inhibitor in closed-loop cooling systems, hydraulic equipment and hot water circulation systems.
- May be applied neat where enhanced corrosion protection is required.
- Protective film is removable using aqueous alkaline cleaners before subsequent processing or assembly, but in most cases cleaning is not required.
