CHEMCOX 5051-RR is a high-performance, water-based rust remover formulated for rapid and effective removal of rust, oxidation and corrosion deposits from ferrous metal surfaces. Its fast-action formulation restores metal surfaces without sanding or abrasive cleaning for maintenance, restoration and industrial applications.
Application
- Recommended for immersion cleaning of rusted ferrous components, tools, fabricated parts and maintenance equipment.
- Pre-clean components to remove oil, grease or heavy dirt before rust removal.
- Completely immerse the component in CHEMCOX 5051-RR until rust is dissolved; typical treatment time is 10-20 minutes depending on corrosion extent.
- After treatment, immediately rinse thoroughly with clean water, dry the metal component and apply Rust Preventive.
- For long-term protection, apply a water-based Rust Preventive after drying to prevent flash rusting and subsequent corrosion.
